How to Get to Perito Moreno Glacier from El Calafate.

Perito Moreno Glacier is inside Los Glaciares National Park, 80 km from El Calafate — about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car on a paved road. It is one of the unmissable excursions in Patagonia, with panoramic walkways facing the ice front. Here are the options to get there and what to keep in mind. The best time to visit is October to April, with more daylight hours, although the glacier can be visited year-round. We recommend layered warm clothing, comfortable shoes and sunscreen, as the Patagonian weather changes fast. The walkways visit usually lasts 2 to 3 hours, enough time to walk the different viewpoints and see the ice breaking off.

How long does it take to get there?
